Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Salary Competitive
Equity To be negotiated

The Role

You'll be our first engineering hire, working directly with the founding team to build the core product. This isn't a "take a ticket and ship it" role. You'll shape our technical direction, architecture, and engineering culture.

What you'll do

  • Build and own full-stack features end-to-end in our TypeScript/Next.js application

  • Design, orchestrate and implement AI-powered workflows that proactively surface legal tasks and insights

  • Architect scalable systems using our modern stack: Postgres (Supabase), Trigger.dev, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui

  • Work with vector databases, embeddings, and LLM integrations to make legal operations intelligent and contextual

  • Build integrations with tools legal teams already use (email, Slack, document systems, etc.)

  • Ship fast, iterate based on user feedback, and help define what "delightful legal operations" looks like

  • Make key technical decisions that will impact the product for years to come

Our stack

We work with modern, proven technologies:

  • Frontend: Next.js 15, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui

  • Backend: Trigger.dev, Drizzle ORM, Postgres (Supabase)

  • AI/ML: AI SDK, embeddings, vector search, agentic workflows

  • Infrastructure: Vercel, modern deployment pipelines

  • Integrations: Email, document parsing, third-party APIs

How we work

  • Ship fast, learn faster: We're building and iterating based on real user feedback

  • Own your work: From idea to deployment, you'll drive features end-to-end

  • User obsession: We're solving real problems for real people who are overwhelmed by legal complexity

  • Pragmatic quality: We write clean code with high seperation of concerns, but we don't over-engineer

  • Transparent by default: Everyone knows what everyone's working on, and why

What we're looking for

We care about what you can do and who you are, not where you went to school.

Must-haves

  • Strong experience building full-stack applications with TypeScript and React

  • Experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks

  • Comfortable working across the entire stack, from database schema to UI polish

  • Track record of shipping products users actually use

  • Excited about AI/LLM applications and willing to dive deep into this space

  • Thrives in ambiguity and can figure things out independently

  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Copenhagen

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Trigger.dev, Drizzle, or similar modern backend tools

  • Built integrations with third-party APIs or platforms

  • Worked with LLMs, embeddings, or vector databases

  • Worked at an early-stage startup before (0-10 people)

  • Background in legal tech, compliance, or B2B SaaS

Most importantly

  • Owner mentality: You take initiative, see problems before they become problems, and drive projects to completion

  • User empathy: You genuinely care about building something people love using

  • Scrappy and resourceful: You get things done with limited resources and don't need everything to be perfect

  • Comfortable with uncertainty: Pre-seed startups are chaotic. You're energized by that, not scared of it

What we offer

  • Competitive salary that reflects your experience and position

  • Significant equity as a founding team member you'll have meaningful ownership

  • Direct impact: Your work will shape the product, company, and culture from day one

  • Work with the founding team: No layers of management, just direct collaboration with people who care deeply about what we're building

  • Beautiful office at Højbro Plads in the heart of Copenhagen

  • Flexibility: We're on-site preferred but understand life happens. We're humans building for humans

Interview process

1. Quick intro call (30 min) - Let's see if there's a mutual fit

2. Technical conversation (60 min) - Talk code, architecture, and how you think about building products

3. Meet the founders (60 min) - Get to know the team and ask us anything

4. Offer - If we're both excited, let's make it official

We move fast and will get back to you as soon as possible at each stage.

Legal can be a bit... much. Shareholder agreements. Questions from stakeholders. Basic compliance. And so on. It's a lot to handle for a single person, especially when you're trying to build a company. Much proactively helps you stay on top of your legal operations by understanding your business and working where you are, without the chaos of multiple tools or systems. Every time you think "this is too much"... well, you know where to go. We're a pre-seed startup with 4 founders, building something genuinely useful for founders and legal teams who are drowning in operational complexity.
