Join Fauna Smart Technologies ApS โ a Copenhagen-based, ESA-awarded company turning science into smart farming ๐ฑ
We are looking for a Front-End Developer (App development included) to join our European Space Agency (ESA) project application โ submission on 31st October โ and continue with us into the implementation phase (2025/2026).
For the past five years, weโve been funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop data-driven, remote-sensing-based solutions for horticulture and forestry. Our award-winning Early Warning Prediction and Prevention Platform helps growers detect and prevent pest and disease outbreaks before they become visible โ combining AI, satellite data, and user-friendly design to support sustainable farming. Now, we are expanding our innovation to vineyards, a field where climate, creativity, and precision must work hand-in-hand.
We are building a new version of our Early Warning Prediction and Prevention Platform tailored for vineyards, integrating field data, remote sensing, and AI into one interactive, visual experience for growers.
The system consists of:
๐บ๏ธ Pest Risk Map โ Displays real-time diagnostics from satellite data (green = no risk, orange = mild risk, red = high risk).
๐ Knowledge Database โ Connects risk zones with data-driven treatment guidance.
๐ Digital Field Book โ Digitally records all field actions for traceability and sustainability reporting.
๐ฟ COโ Points (Future Feature) โ Tokenization of sustainable practices to reward regenerative actions.
As a Front-End Developer, you will:
Design and build the web and mobile interfaces for the platform and its app
Integrate the Pest Risk Map, Knowledge Database, and Digital Field Book into an intuitive, interactive experience
Collaborate closely with AI programmers, remote sensing engineers, and growers to translate complex data into simple, elegant visuals
Ensure seamless UX/UI that supports real-time insights and decision-making in the field
Join immediately to contribute to the ESA proposal (deadline 31 October) and continue development through the project implementation
Strong experience in front-end frameworks (React / Vue / Angular)
Experience with mobile app development (React Native / Flutter or similar)
Good grasp of data visualization (Mapbox, Leaflet, D3.js) and API integration
UX/UI design mindset with a focus on clarity and field usability
Familiarity with geospatial or satellite-based data is a plus
Collaborative, creative, and comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams
Applicant must be residing in Denmark (required for ESA eligibility)
Opportunity to co-develop a European Space Agency project
Work in a recognized, award-winning innovation team
Creative freedom to shape how users interact with next-generation agritech tools
Collaboration with leading European partners and Danish vineyards
Flexible, hybrid setup (Copenhagen / remote in Denmark)
ESA proposal submission: 31 October 2025
Project start: December 2025 / January 2026
โณ This is an urgent call โ if youโre ready to build technology that helps nature thrive, reach out immediately!
Letโs make Danish vineyards thrive โ from satellites to soil, and from data to design. ๐๐ซ
