Full Stack Developer who codes with AI and ships fast

At Omika AI ApS, we need a Full Stack Developer who can take full responsibility over projects, from vague client requirements to production deployment. Our immediate focus is Shopify stores and custom app development, but as a startup, next month could bring anything from a React Native app to a Python automation backend.

Here's the deal:

Our core team builds AI systems and intelligent automations. You'll build the applications that deliver these capabilities to clients. Sometimes that's a Shopify plugin with AI-powered recommendations. Sometimes it's a web app that needs to launch next week. Always, it's you taking full responsibility and making it happen.

We value independence above almost everything else. You'll often be the sole developer on a project, working with AI tools to multiply your output while our AI engineers handle the intelligent backend systems.

About the Role

You'll own the development of client-facing applications. Right now, that means Shopify stores, e-commerce integrations, and web applications. Next quarter? Who knows. What we do know is that you'll need to adapt quickly, learn constantly, and ship reliably.

This isn't a role where you'll get detailed specifications and code reviews. You'll get a business problem, access to our AI team for the intelligent bits, and the freedom to solve it however makes sense. We work in short development cycles – both for client projects and internal tools – so your code needs to work on Monday, not be perfect in six months.

Your Responsibilities

• Own complete development cycles independently. From initial architecture to production deployment

• Build full-stack solutions where you handle everything: backend, frontend, infrastructure, and the glue between them

• Currently: Develop Shopify stores, custom apps, and e-commerce integrations (this is the immediate need)

• Tomorrow: Whatever the next client or internal project requires – could be mobile apps, automation tools, or something we haven't thought of yet

• Leverage AI tools like Claude Code and agentic workflows to accelerate development (we expect you to code WITH AI, not despite it)

• Ship production-ready code in short cycles. We measure in days and weeks, not quarters

• Make architectural decisions that balance "needs to work by Monday" with "shouldn't break by Tuesday"

• Debug across the entire stack because when something breaks, you own the solution

What We're Looking For

Someone with a rock-solid understanding of software development fundamentals. We don't care if you learned with Django or Express, React or Vue, PostgreSQL or MongoDB. What matters is that you understand WHY things work, not just HOW to copy Stack Overflow.

Technical Reality Check:

• You've built and shipped full-stack applications multiple times, in production

• You understand software architecture well enough to design systems, not just implement features

• You've done backend, frontend, databases, APIs, deployment, and can context-switch between them

• You've worked with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and know how to make them multiply your productivity

• You can pick up new frameworks/languages quickly because you understand the underlying patterns

  
  

The Mindset We Need:

• Independence is non-negotiable – you'll often be the only developer on a project

• Adaptability over specialization – today it's Shopify, tomorrow it's a React Native app, next week it's a Python backend

• Learning velocity matters more than current knowledge – we wouldn't ask for all these skills if they weren't learnable quickly by the right person

• AI-augmented development – you see AI as a force multiplier, not a threat

• Ship-it mentality – perfect code that never launches is worthless

Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We're looking for someone who can learn fast and has the foundation to pick up whatever's needed. If you've never touched Shopify but have built complex e-commerce solutions elsewhere, you'll figure it out. If you've never used Claude Code but you're already automating half your workflow with AI tools, you're our kind of developer.

What we really care about: Can you take a vague client requirement and turn it into working software without constant supervision? Can you learn a new technology over a weekend because the project needs it? Can you work effectively with AI tools to 10x your output?
