About Us:

PWN Copenhagen is a professional, global network for women, offering community-driven events and activities that empower our members to connect, share, and grow throughout their professional journey. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Event Manager to join our organization as a volunteer. Kindly note, you will need to join our organization as a premium, paid member before starting in this position. As an entirely volunteer-led organization, all of us in the Board are Premium members, this enables full access to our network, events, and speaker opportunities, and helps sustain our vibrant community. After a 3-month trial period in the role, you will be invited to join the Board also.


Event Manager Role Summary:

The Event Manager is responsible for overlooking the overall event schedule for PWN Copenhagen. It is her/his role to ensure events are planned by the various team members well in advance, that all the practical details are taken care of, and that volunteers are assigned and supported in the event planning and execution process. This role is essential to support coordination and planning between the team, while ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery of events.

The Event Manager will plan and run events that align with our values and relevant themes, whether they are identified by members, the team, or through their own initiative. The Event Manager should attend events on a monthly basis, dividing responsibility within the Event team. *It is not required to be at every event if there are enough volunteers supporting the event’s execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the event schedule is up to date and that events are being planned months in advance 

  • Manage the event volunteers group and distribute volunteers roles in structured way

  • Monitor event related emails and respond to member questions about the events

  • Archive details of each event on Google drive

    • Define best practices for how to run an event 

    • A list of speakers

    • A venue and contacts / conditions for its use

  • Publish events on the website, send reminders to all registered participants

  • Maintains current and relevant information on PWN Copenhagen webpage (Events part)

  • Review event feedback for benchmarking and improvement purposes

  • Maintain and be responsible for a smooth event process

  • Ensure a structured intake of event suggestions from members and the broader community. Check responses and offers on the specific google form and present to the board members (monthly)


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience in event planning and management, ideally within a non-profit or volunteer-based organization.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for members.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including volunteers and partners.

  • IT skills, particularly in working with websites, would be a plus, as the role involves using our website to set up and manage events.


Time Commitment: Approx. 5 hours per week
