Plinto is an AI SaaS startup in Copenhagen building an AI-powered platform for financial controlling. We help CFOs and finance teams cut manual work and detect errors early. By reducing repetitive checks and preventing mistakes, we give finance leaders confidence in their numbers and more time to focus on strategic decision-making.
Plinto was founded by Jakob Nielsen (CEO), Sebastian Rehnby (CPTO), and Nermina Ostojic (CCO), who have worked together for 10+ years in high-growth startups (Podio, Peakon) and global enterprises (Workday, Citrix). We’re now looking for our first colleagues to join us on the journey.
The Role
We’re looking for our first Account Executive to join the founding team and help us turn early interest into scalable growth. This isn’t a standard quota-carrying AE role - you’ll be building the sales motion together with us. You’ll run the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, while feeding insights back into our product, go-to-market, and strategy.

What you’ll do
Own the full sales cycle: Prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing
Engage CFOs, controllers, and finance teams in consultative conversations, building business cases and showing ROI
Generate your own pipeline through outbound, networking, and events (with support from the founders)
Partner with the founders to refine messaging and pricing strategy
Capture customer feedback and influence product roadmap and GTM strategy
Help shape our sales playbook, CRM processes, and early sales culture
Your experience
Several years of B2B sales experience, including winning new business in the Nordics
Fluency in English and Danish
Experience selling to finance leaders (CFOs, controllers, finance ops) strongly preferred
Comfortable running full-cycle sales without SDR/SE support
Consultative selling style: Able to translate product features into financial impact and ROI
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, credible with executive buyers
Bonus: Knowledge of financial processes, ERP systems, and/or compliance workflows
