Are you an ambitious student looking to build a career in computer vision applied to complex industrial problems? Are you excited about the Industry 4.0 and expanding digitalization of manufacturing? Do you want to learn how to build factory ready systems, using both AI and classical algorithms, and apply both your mechanical engineering and computer science skills? Than this might be an opportunity you have been waiting for.
The goal of the project is to create a complex measurement solution from the ground up, complete with the optical & sensor hardware (with lighting), basic mounting setup, full software pipeline, interfaces, basic GUI and industrial PC deployment. The project has to provide accurate measurements of industrial objects, possibly merging multiple sensor data together with the camera input. Development of metrological grade calibration sequence will be required, as well as execution of reliability tests.
The project is envisioned as an unpaid internship (however, a monetary compensation/reward is possible for exceptional performance), lasting 1 – 3 months, with the goal of upgrading to a part-time student job.
An ideal candidate would have a manufacturing background and basic computer vision skills (OpenCV). Given the nature of Calibras’ usual projects, interest in industrial IoT, geometry processing and MES systems would also be appreciated for future collaboration. Finally, and most importantly, desire for learning and personal development in the field of manufacturing software.
Application requirements: Short CV & project portfolio – or LinkedIn profile link. Brief introduction / cover letter is optional.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
