Full Stack Developer for Early-Stage Proptech Startup (Internship)

We are looking for an ambitious Full Stack Developer to join us in building and scaling Nearby – a new platform that allows individuals, businesses, and property owners to rent out their unused square meters for storage, parking, and more. Think of it as Airbnb for unused square meters – a simple, scalable, and user-friendly marketplace that brings structure and transparency to a fragmented market.

The Role

We have already developed an early MVP together with our technical co-founder and built an email list of interested users who are eager to test the concept. Now we are looking for a strong technical partner to take the product to the next level. As part of the team, you will play a central role in shaping both the product and its architecture – working closely with the founding team and our co-founder on development, design, and functionality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining both frontend and backend of the platform

• Implementing integrations for payments, authentication, and maps/search

• Building a scalable and secure infrastructure

• Working closely with the team on UX, design, and functionality

• Taking the platform from MVP to a fully scalable solution

What we are looking for:

• Experience with both frontend and backend development (e.g. React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL or a similar stack)

• Strong knowledge of building scalable web applications and APIs

• Experience with cloud services

• A self-driven mindset, able to take ownership and thrive in an early-stage startup environment

• Curiosity and willingness to learn how to leverage AI to improve and accelerate development

• Bonus: experience with marketplace platforms or proptech solutions
