Nuvve is looking for a dynamic Business Developer responsible for identifying suitable sites for storage projects in Europe, developing the business case, setting up a financial model and getting all agreements. This position will manage site sourcing, screening, grid interconnection and administrative authorizations, partners selection and contractual agreements. The position is based in our Copenhagen, Denmark office with the possibility to work remotely.
Initiate and implement origination strategies, including establishing channel partners and creating impactful sales campaigns
Scout and identify eligible and suitable sites for energy storage development, screening out specific restrictions, assessing site characteristics and constraints
Proactively find contact points to the site owners and initiate initial conversations with compelling business proposals, fostering positive relationships
Collect required information and build the technical-economic solution (business models including revenues, EPC and O&M contracts) to submit viable and attractive offers
Skilfully present offering, negotiate and sign agreements for project development
Coordinate with stakeholders for technical details, interconnection and permitting
You will travel regularly throughout the Denmark to meet with site owners, local authorities, local grid operators and other stakeholders
Demonstrated success in driving a sales process, from outreach to contract negotiation and signing; experience in prospecting, identifying, and qualifying new leads
Experience in building relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers
At least 5 years of work experience in business development and field sales, ideally in renewable energies, real estate or construction industry
Relevant master’s degree in engineering or business administration
Technical experience and knowledge of grid, PV, EVSE or storage products preferred
Independence in action, self-starter, comfortable cold-calling and team-player attitude
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of time to prospect
At ease with MS Office, collaboration and CRM tools
Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate the value of Nuvve proposition
