At Ageras, we are redefining how entrepreneurs—freelancers, self-employed professionals, and SMEs—manage their banking, and administrative tasks. Through seamless tools and innovative accounting & banking solutions, we help them focus on what matters most: growing their businesses.
Our vision is to become the best friend of every small entrepreneur across Europe. 💚
Over the years, Ageras has grown through the merging of top European FinTechs like Shine (🇫🇷), Kontist (🇩🇪), Tellow (🇳🇱), and more. Today, we’re a team of nearly 500 people, including 150 talented engineers, working together from Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Berlin.
📋 Your role as a Head of Front-End
As Head of Frontend at Ageras, you’ll be the glue, the compass, and the captain steering all things frontend across our rapidly evolving SaaS universe. With multiple products acquired over time each with its own quirks, codebases, and build systems—you’ll lead the charge in unifying how we build web and mobile apps across the organization.
You’ll manage a small but mighty team of frontend specialists and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across domains to define standards, advocate best practices, and consolidate our frontend stack into a modern, cohesive architecture.
This is a unique opportunity to own the frontend strategy for a multi-product SaaS company, lead the consolidation toward a single shared web frontend and a unified mobile app (or a modular foundation for them), and dramatically improve developer experience, code reuse, and release velocity across the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define and evolve Ageras’ frontend architecture vision—both web and mobile—with an emphasis on shared codebases, reusability, and developer productivity.
- Build and execute a plan to consolidate our acquired SaaS frontends into:
- A single web frontend framework, powered by shared design systems and components.
- A unified mobile app architecture (or at minimum, a shared mobile codebase), likely using Expo + React Native.
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams on decisions around whether separate customer-facing mobile apps are needed for branding purposes—and ensure they still share a common technical foundation.
- Advocate for developer-friendly practices, tooling, and CI/CD workflows that reduce cognitive load and encourage contributions from fullstack developers.
Technical Oversight
- Own the frontend platform stack and tooling — storybook libraries, bundlers, test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines build on the building blocks provided by the Engineer Efficiency team, build systems, and monorepo structure.
- Collaborate with product teams to gather feedback and provide technical guidance on building applications that align with unified architecture and design standards.
- Ensure mobile development is as accessible as web, through abstraction of native complexities, use of tools like Expo, and automation of testing and release processes.
Team & Collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and support a small team of frontend platform engineers.
- Partner closely with product engineering teams to enable adoption of shared components and standards.
- Drive knowledge-sharing across frontend developers through chapter meetings, documentation, and hands-on support.
- Collaborate with the Architecture Forum to align frontend strategies with backend and platform evolution.
- Work in partnership with the design team to build and co-own a scalable Design System.
🔎 About you
- Proven experience leading frontend teams or projects, ideally in a SaaS or platform setting.
- Deep knowledge of React (web + native) and strong understanding of mobile development pipelines.
- Experience working with Expo, EAS, React Native CLI, and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Passion for developer experience, tooling, documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Strong communication skills—you’ll be defining standards and influencing engineers across many teams.
- Strategic thinking—you can balance long-term platform needs with current delivery pressures.
Nice to have:
- Experience managing multi-brand frontend architectures.
- Knowledge of monorepo tools (e.g., Turborepo, Nx) and design systems (e.g., Storybook, Figma integration).
- Previous exposure to merger or post-acquisition technical consolidation.
What Success Looks Like
- Ageras frontend developers can seamlessly contribute across web and mobile products.
- Mobile builds and updates are automated and painless, thanks to EAS, CI, and shared tooling.
- We operate with a shared component library used across products, reducing duplication and increasing speed.
- Release cycles shrink, and product teams focus on features—not on managing outdated toolchains.
- We support a monorepo architecture with shared logic, UI, and bounded contexts (
@ageras/app-invoice
, @ageras/app-banking
, etc.)
- Developers share a common vision on how to deliver great UI to Ageras customers.
- Designers are confident that what they’re building closely reflects the final production result.
