Hello Ada is an AI-powered learning universe for curious kids aged 7–14 to build real tech solutions using creativity, play, and code. Co-created with 500 kids and 200 families, we’ve sparked an 89% increase in STEM interest through workshops, events, and a soon-to-launch gamified platform. Backed by Google, Microsoft, and the US State Department, we're now looking for a strategic, hands-on CTO to help us scale.
As CTO, you'll lead the vision, development, and scalability of Hello Ada’s core technology – from our AI-powered creation tool to our gamified coding experience. You’ll work closely with the CEO (with a background in AI and UX), a growing team of engineers and designers, and advisors across edtech, venture, and policy.
This is an opportunity to shape a platform that empowers the next generation to create with AI—not just consume it.

Define and drive Hello Ada’s technical roadmap, aligning it with product and business goals.
Translate our vision into an architecture that’s scalable, secure, and delightful for kids and families.
Product & Engineering Leadership
Lead the development and launch of our AI coding studio, Scratch-like interface, and multiplayer coding experiences.
Guide engineering choices (stack, tooling, AI integration) with a strong user-first mindset.
Oversee performance, reliability, and ethical AI implementation.
Team Building & Collaboration
Mentor and grow a team of developers, interns, and contributors.
Bridge design and development workflows with efficiency and care.
AI & Innovation
Ensure responsible and creative use of AI – including generative tools, natural language processing, and recommendation systems.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies in education and child-safe AI.
Have strong experience in full-stack or platform engineering, ideally with experience building and scaling digital platforms (bonus if it's in edtech, gaming, or creative tools).
Have built consumer-facing products with a focus on UX and accessibility.
Are familiar with AI technologies (LLMs, NLP, APIs like OpenAI/Gemini, etc.) and their practical applications.
Care deeply about ethical tech, education, and the creative potential of kids.
Love shipping quickly, testing ideas, and iterating based on real user feedback.
Are comfortable in early-stage startup environments and excited to get your hands dirty.
Bonus: experience with block-based coding platforms, gamification, or tools like Scratch, Roblox Studio, or Minecraft modding.
A mission-driven startup with real traction and global potential
Equity in a fast-growing company redefining how kids learn to build with AI
A collaborative, kind, and ambitious team
Opportunity to shape an impactful product from the ground up
Flexibility in how you work – remote-friendly, family-friendly, async where needed
