Guide Vivino with technical experience in US GAAP, IFRS, and Danish accounting standards
As Vivino's Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations in Copenhagen, serving as the technical accounting and reporting lead. You will take charge of and report on the monthly close, meticulously ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial results following both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), all while maintaining a robust control environment. A significant part of your role will involve preparing technical memos and accounting procedures, especially concerning complex areas like ASC 842 (Leases) and Capitalized Software, along with other specific US GAAP requirements.

We seek a Financial Controller with a proven track record and a sharp financial mind. You possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, demonstrated by your understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS. You also have the ability to research and interpret complex accounting guidance and meticulously review new contracts for potential accounting issues. Given your responsibility for leading local statutory audits and ensuring local tax compliance, your significant experience with Danish company accounting practices and local accounting standards is essential.
Your dedication and focus will reflect a conscientious work ethic. You will manage the monthly close and lead audits with a detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills, reflecting excellent prioritization and a keen sense of urgency in maintaining a robust control environment. The drive to continuously improve will be evident as you leverage strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills to evaluate current processes and tools, driving efficiencies, automation, and value-added enhancements.
As a sociable and collaborative team member, your ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing circumstances in our fast-paced environment will be key. You thrive in partnering with various stakeholders, as your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with management at all levels and foster strong relationships with business partners. While not strictly required, experience working at an audit firm would be a significant advantage, providing valuable insights into our audit processes.
