Doublepoint makes gesture recognition software for wearables. Our algorithms detect subtle hand gestures that have not previously been possible. To make it work flawlessly for everyone, the algorithms require large scale training and testing on a lot of people, all the time.
Doublepoint is looking for people to join our User Research team this fall in the Helsinki and Espoo area. The team’s goal is to gather training and testing data for our machine learning models and proprietary hardware. As a User Research Supervisor, you will be an important part of the product development and UR team’s functionality. You will not only instruct end users in data collection, but also coordinate logistics and set up the physical spaces required. This data scaling team’s ultimate goal is to deliver a large quantity of high quality data to enhance the performance of our cutting edge gesture detection algorithms.
The ideal candidate will:
Be fluent in English and Finnish
Be generally extroverted, friendly, and happy engaging with strangers
Have a strong interest in emerging technologies
Be tech savvy, and familiar with computers and electronics
Be detail-oriented, proactive, and good at communicating
Have some previous experience in a role that requires responsibility
Previous experience working with different people
Have a valid driver’s license
Be open to a freelance contract with flexible hours
The weekly number of hours for this role varies between 0-40 per week, and we flexibly agree on them to fit your schedule.
This team mainly operates in person in the Helsinki and Espoo area.
