Rodinia Generation is looking for an ambitious and organized Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to join our team in our Copenhagen office where we house our innovative O-factory.
In this position you will acquire invaluable experience and industry knowledge in the field of mechanical design while being an integrated part of our cross-disciplinary team of mechatronics, software engineers, operations and fashion designers. We welcome new ideas and appraise team spirit. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern you will be exposed to various engineering challenges. Your work will contribute in advancing our proprietary O-factory and drive real impact in Rodinia’s next growth stage.
Developing mechanical solutions for our O-factory garment production line. This includes specifying the requirements, designing, implementation and testing.
Work closely with R&D and software team to develop end to end automation solutions.
Be involved in the development and implementation of new and existing automated manufacturing cells, including selecting, procuring and integrating appropriate machinery, robotics, sensors directly tied to our technical roadmap.
Collaborate with Operations with ad-hoc activities on the shopfloor and by conducting an array of exploratory work which should enable significant line performance improvements.
Testing and validation of the manufacturing processes to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
Currently studying MSc or BSc in Engineering, e.g. Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
Having an optimization mindset with interest in developing solutions for autonomous operation.
Being an organized, structured and self-driven individual able to communicate ideas to other team members.
Understanding general principles of how machines work.
Hands-on person with a can-do attitude.
Familiarity with CAD 3D software (e.g. Autodesk Fusion, Solidworks, Inventor or similar). 3D printing.
English proficiency, as it is our primary office language.
