Who we are

At Interhuman AI, we're building the social intelligence layer of AI. Our mission is to make AI understand nuanced human behavior in any culture and context, making human-AI interaction truly adaptive and socially intelligent. We achieve this through our pioneering research in multimodal AI systems that uses behavioral coding for real-time analysis of facial expressions, body language, gaze patterns, voice emotion, and conversational dynamics. In other words - our technology goes far beyond basic language processing to understand the subtleties of human communication.

Our models enable AI applications to adapt and respond intelligently to how people actually behave and interact. We're initially targeting corporate training - a $400B market where existing solutions in training platforms fall short in truly understanding human behavioral dynamics. Our product allows individuals to practice critical soft skills with AI that responds to their unique behavior and provides meaningful, adaptive feedback. 

We're in the early stages with a working prototype, have early traction, excited first customers and strong investors who believe in our vision, team and technology. 

The role

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer/CTO ready to architect and build the future of social intelligence in AI. This isn't a role for someone seeking a pre-defined path - it's for a hands-on leader who thrives on owning the entire technical strategy and building cutting-edge products from the ground up. If you're driven to tackle complex problems in real-time multimodal AI, optimize sophisticated models for practical application, and directly shape our core technology, then let's talk. 

Here’s what you'll be doing:

• Lead our product's evolution from its current stage to scale.

• Define and execute our end-to-end technical roadmap, from architecture to deployment.

• Drive the creation of our foundational AI technology and SaaS products.

• Build and lead an engineering dream-team, establishing best practices and a strong technical culture.

• Work closely with the founding team on product strategy and scientific developments

• Collaborate with our researchers and behavioral scientists to enhance our social signal models.

  
  

What you bring

You're a seasoned pro who knows how to get things done, but you also have a passion for pushing boundaries.

Must-haves:

• Proven experience with modern AI/ML technologies and successfully deploying them in real-world applications.

• Hands-on experience training and/or fine-tuning models.

• A solid understanding of full-stack development.

• Track record of scaling systems and teams from early-stage to growth.

• Experience with scalable cloud infrastructure and navigating data privacy complexities.

Additionally, having some of the following experiences may help you be successful in this position:

• Previous startup experience.

• Experience with real-time interactive systems.

• Infrastructure and architecture experience (dev-ops, ml-ops)

• Experience developing low-latency applications (algorithm optimization, threading, multiprocessing, queue systems)

• Experience implementing research papers

• Background in human-computer interaction.

• Experience building and leading high-performing tech teams from scratch.
