As a back-end Software Developer, you will be part of a team responsible for building a reliable and flexible charging experience for EV drivers, both professional drivers and private individuals. You will report to an Engineering Manager and work closely with CPH and near-shore colleagues in the product development team and our external partners.  

What You Will Do 

Together with your team, you will be responsible for: 

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript 

• Collaborate closely with mobile frontend developers to support seamless integration with the React Native application 

• Contribute to architectural decisions and solution design for cloud-native, distributed systems 

• Driving the adoption of automated testing, including unit, integration, and load testing 

• Ensuring quality of releases and best practice coding standards 

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

• 5+ years of professional software development experience. 

• Experience with the server-side aspects of mobile app development is preferred. 

• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Redis, and non-SQL databases is an advantage 

• Mobile development principles and tools (React Native experience is a plus) 

• Strong experience with:  

• TypeScript or JavaScript (Node.js, NestJS)  

• Cloud-based microservice architecture 

• Building high-performing back-end architecture 

• Cloud platforms such as AWS 

• Hands-on experience with test-driven development, test automation, integration and load testing.  

• Integration between external & internal IT systems 

• API design 

• Experience with the implementation of EV Charging Industry, OCPI-OICP or other protocols is an advantage.

The position is a permanent position in Copenhagen, Denmark. Danish language is not a requirement, but Fluent English language skills are required.
