With the recent advancements in AI and machine learning, it’s no surprise that the fastest growing occupation over the next five years will be software roles related to ML and AI.
The roughly 1 million new ML practitioners will face the same challenges that current ML practitioners do: to schedule ML jobs, you must not only be a strong ML engineer or data scientist but also be proficient in infrastructure setup, code packaging, virtual environments, and data engineering—all at once.
The stats speak for themselves:
58% of ML practitioners spend up to 20 hours per month on environment setup alone
93% report that AI team productivity would increase if real-time compute resources could be self-served easily
74% see clear value in having compute and scheduling functionality as part of a single, unified AI/ML platform
