We’re building an innovative, agentic system that pushes the boundaries of what GenAI can do - redefining the “Medical, Legal, and Regulatory” (MLR) review process for promotional materials. This process is currently conducted 100% manually and requires specialized medical, legal, and regulatory expertise. At Copli, we’re automating it, saving days of manual work for our users.

About the role

We’re seeking a full-stack software engineer to help us reshape how marketing content is produced within one of the most regulated industries in the world. You'll work closely with our team on defining and building core product features. This could involve everything from developing AI agents that understand research papers, building evaluation pipelines to ensure their performance, and help shape how their output should be delivered to the end user.

You’re adaptable, proactive, and enjoy deeply understanding complex domains in order to automate them with software. Our team is lean and fast-moving, so you should thrive in a low-structure environment and be comfortable communicating clearly and effectively.

A few things to think about as you're reaching out to us:

• What core principles guide your work? Which of these have remained stable for you across the pre- and post-GenAI landscape?

• In the context of GenAI, how do you ensure you're solving genuine customer problems and adding tangible value - not just chasing hype?

• How do you balance leveraging AI capabilities with essential human judgment or 'organic intelligence'? Where is human oversight most critical?

• What's your approach to addressing inherent limitations, potential biases, or inaccuracies associated with GenAI tools?

What you will work on:

• Product development: Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions that automate complex MLR workflows

• Innovation and prototyping: Explore new ideas and push the boundaries of what's possible with GenAI in regulated industries

• System performance and evaluation: Optimize and benchmark our AI systems to ensure they meet the high standards required in pharmaceutical regulatory processes

• Knowledge integration: Ensure our models have access to perfect sources including regulatory rules, medical information, and other domain-specific content to make accurate decisions

• Internal tools: Build and maintain tools that improve our team's productivity and capabilities - we are a team of builders where everyone contributes where needed

You are a great fit if you:

• Have strong experience with Python, and ideally React

• Have worked in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment and thrive with autonomy and ambiguity

• Have experience or strong interest in GenAI and building agentic/autonomous systems

• Are comfortable working across the stack and rapidly prototyping and shipping solutions

• Possess natural curiosity and a desire to learn and understand complex domains

• Are relentlessly resourceful - able to deliver solutions and figure things out even when the path isn't clear
