Student Assistant – Spatial Designer

Salary Competitive

At NORNORM, we are redefining the workspace industry with a strong commitment to sustainability and circularity. As digital pioneers scaling rapidly across Europe, we are now looking for a creative and detail-oriented Student Assistant to join our Spatial Design team. In this role, you will support the Design & Range team in creating inspiring, functional, and sustainable workspace solutions aligned with our NORNORM design principles.

The Role

As a Spatial Design Student Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating the future of workspaces. Working independently and collaboratively, you will partner closely with colleagues in Sales and Customer Success to deliver workspace designs that embody our Nordic design principles of functionality, simplicity, and timelessness. Based in Copenhagen, you will be allocated to one of our markets either in Germany or the Netherlands. Therefore, you need to be fluent in English. Knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus, but not a requirement.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D workspace designs tailored to a variety of client needs

  • Support the Design & Range team in development and creative processes

  • Participate in client meetings to present and discuss design ideas

  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all designs reflect NORNORM’s visual identity and brand guidelines

Your Profile

  • You are currently studying Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related field

  • You are confident working in both 2D and 3D design tools

  • Experience working in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Fluent in English (working language); knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus

  • You are organized, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Working Hours & Flexibility

This is a part-time position (approx. 30–50 hours per month), with flexibility to accommodate your academic schedule. We ask that you’re available to contribute extra hours during school holidays when our full-time staff may be on leave.

NORNORM

NORNORM is a subscription-based furnishing model, letting your business adapt to the needs of tomorrow. We are a fully circular business, which means that we work to reduce our collective carbon footprint. Instead of throwing out perfectly good furniture to order new, we prolong the products' lifespan. We create workspaces where people love to work, and update layouts, items and plans at any time to match our customers needs. You can be part of creating a better way of doing business, where circularity is at the core - enabling surprisingly affordable price levels.
