Associate Climate Strategy Advisor

Salary Competitive

Join the planet’s most important fight

Are you ready to grow your climate career and help businesses cut carbon?

Normative is now looking for a Associate Climate Strategy Advisor for our team in Stockholm!

At Normative, we’re searching for a mission-driven Associate Climate Strategy Advisor who’s passionate about supporting customers with climate advisory while owning their post-sale experience. This hybrid role blends sustainability strategy with relationship and account development. You’ll be a key player in turning climate ambition into action — one customer at a time.

What you will do:

  • You are the trusted person for our customers, with whom you’ll build long-term relationships

  • You understand the customers’ carbon footprints and are a thought leader that educates them on carbon measurement, target setting, carbon reduction, and carbon investments. You guide their path towards a net-zero future.

  • You are the voice of our customers; the connection between them and our product, where you help shape the future in a fast-changing industry.

  • You help our customers understand and navigate our product; you onboard them on the platform and drive interest for additional product and service offerings. This will accelerate their journey towards net-zero carbon emissions.

  • You are proactive in customer initiatives leading to high satisfaction, retention and growth.

  • You identify upsell and expansion opportunities in your book of business.

What you'll bring:

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer success, climate consulting, ESG strategy, or account management.

  • Understanding of corporate sustainability and climate frameworks (e.g. SBTi, GHG Protocol).

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Drive to learn and grow with a fast-moving mission-led team.

Bonus qualities that will make you shine:

We’re looking for someone who will not just fit in, but help us level up. Here’s what stands out:

  • Systems Thinker: You can connect the dots between policy, data, and business goals. Show us in the interview how you'd advise a fictional B2B company on setting a climate target.

  • Curious & Coachable: You actively seek feedback and apply it fast. In the interview, be ready to reflect on a learning moment that changed how you work.

  • Mission-Driven Communicator: You can talk to sustainability leaders and procurement pros alike. Expect a roleplay task to test how you adapt messaging.

Proactive Collaborator: You spot opportunities to improve team workflows or customer processes. Bring a story where you took initiative without being asked

Why join us?:

  • Work with a passionate team tackling one of humanity’s biggest challenges.

  • Be part of a fast-growing scale-up where your work makes a real impact.

  • Continuous learning, great flexibility, and the chance to grow your career in climate tech.

Working at
Normative

Our Mission: Normative is here to make known and reduce the sustainability impact of all economic activities on the planet. We provide science-based carbon accounting software and tailored advice from net zero experts, enabling companies to reduce their carbon footprints. Our Story: Normative is rooted in climate research. In 2013, co-founder Kristian Rönn was working at Oxford University, simulating the consequences of climate change. The results showed that global warming would cause extreme human suffering, motivating Kristian to leave academia and take action. He joined forces with Adam Wamai Egesa and Robin Undall-Behrend, and in 2014 the world’s first carbon accounting engine was born to help humanity achieve net zero emissions and reverse the trajectory of climate change. We now have offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen, and London, and are actively hiring talent to join the mission. Today, companies from around the world trust our carbon accounting engine to help them reduce their carbon footprint. We partner with leading climate change organisations including the UN, to deliver actionable sustainability intelligence and have received a grant from Google. We are backed by some of the world’s most significant climate investors, and are the official software provider for the UN-backed SME Climate Hub initiative through which thousands of small businesses have committed to net zero. Our Team: We are a global team working to solve a global problem. We’re headquartered in Stockholm, with offices in Copenhagen and London as well as remote team members located all over the world. We have spoken at the World Economic Forum, consulted the European Commission, and worked with the United Nations to develop a new standard for emissions accounting. We come from many walks of life, but we’re united in one mission: to help humanity achieve net zero emissions. Every employee at Normative plays a valuable role in reducing business carbon emissions.
