About Nordic Women’s Health Hub: Nordic Women’s Health Hub is a fast-growing non-profit organization accelerating innovation in women’s health across the Nordics. We connect startups, investors, researchers, corporates (and more!) to strengthen the ecosystem and spotlight women’s health, an area of health that has historically been underfunded and underserved.
Our mission is to create better conditions for founders, funders, and researchers working to advance women’s health. We do this through curated events, a fast-growing LinkedIn community, partnerships, and regular content like newsletters and ecosystem insights.
So far, we’ve built the Hub entirely as a side hustle and through volunteer power. Now, we’re ready to take the hub to the next level — and we’re looking for a CEO & Co-founder to lead the way.
Your Role:
As our CEO & Co-founder, you’ll take charge of building and running the Nordic Women’s Health Hub — from securing funding to community building and hands-on operations. You’ll lead both strategy and day-to-day execution, working closely with our volunteers, community members, and partners.
Your first mission will be to secure funding to cover your own salary, through grants and funds aligned with the public good. You will drive this process but the team will support you, and while you work on this, you are not expected to be full-time. As the CEO, you will become the only full-time, salaried member of the team. This means you will do a lot of heavy-lifting, but you will be supported by the rest of the volunteering team (co-founders included). Currently the team is structured in a way where each volunteer is leading their own area (e.g. events, community, partnerships).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in purpose-driven environments and isn’t afraid to get hands-on. Perhaps you’ve gained valuable experience in the corporate world and are now looking to apply your skills in a more meaningful, community-focused setting.
The Team
The team consist of an amazing crew of +15 volunteers as well as the three co-founders who’ve been working on the Nordic Women’s Health Hub concept since Nov 2023. We are now ready for the hub to scale and be professionalized, and we are looking for someone to take over the leadership.
This role is an unique opportunity to shape the future of women’s health innovation in the Nordics — with real ownership, a supportive network, and a bold mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & fundraising
Set the strategic direction, priorities and vision (and then execute it!)
Identify and apply for relevant grants and funding sources (public, private, and philanthropic) to secure your initial salary and operating budget.
Develop the hub’s operational model to ensure value provided for volunteers, members and other partners
Develop and execute a long-term strategy for scaling the Hub and its impact.
Community Building
Grow and engage our LinkedIn community (currently +1400), positioning the Hub as the go-to Nordic platform for women’s health.
Collaborate with volunteering team to plan and host events, publish content, and engage stakeholders.
Actively engage with startups, researchers, corporates, and investors to understand needs and build a thriving ecosystem.
Partnerships
Build and manage partnerships with ecosystem players
Represent the Hub in relevant forums and build visibility across the Nordics.
Operations & Leadership
Coordinate and support +15 active volunteers as well as the other co-founders across functions like events, marketing, operations, and partnerships.
Take full responsibility for execution and delivery — from strategic planning to running our newsletter, handling logistics for events, or setting up grant applications.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must-haves
Passion for women’s health, innovation, and community building.
Strong track record of getting things done independently, especially in early-stage or resource-constrained environments.
Skilled at business development and strategy
Organised and reliable, able to manage team, timelines, and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Good communication skills with the ability to be clear and concise, both verbally and written
Highly ambitious and desire to challenge the status quo
Fluent in Danish and English - Based in the Nordics
Nice to have
Previous experience in the non-profit or social innovation sector.
Experience in startups or ecosystem roles.
Familiarity with the women’s health, FemTech, or health innovation space.
Experience in fundraising and applying for grants or public/philanthropic funding.
Experience building partnerships or networks — ideally across startups, academia, or the health sector.
Leadership Style:

Hands-on: You’re not afraid to take care of the small stuff while also thinking big.
Mission-driven: You care about women’s health, equity, and building something meaningful for the long term.

What We Offer:
