We initially posted this role (among other roles) some months back and received many applications from talented individuals. Our platform built around YouTube is commercial ready and we are hiring to support our GTM. While we have identified one or more individuals we believe can be a fit for other roles, including advisory roles, this particular role still remains open. To cut a long story short we are looking for a well rounded individual who has relevant background and a savvy interest in scaling B2C SaaS. You are either an ex-founder, seasoned COO, CFO or commercial leader looking for your next exciting startup journey to play a central role in. For the right applicant this is a co-founder role with a good equity position.
We have identified a unique opportunity to build a social layer on top of the world's most entertaining and powerful social media platform—YouTube. While co-watching is not something that is new, building a dedicated well crafted social layer, and social discovery service (think Bumble BFF), centered only around YouTube is. Our closest competitors are Rave and Discord, none of which is a social layer centered specifically around YouTube. The behavior of connecting in real time around YouTube exists today, however teens do it by calling each other on one device and manually syncing the YouTube video on another. Simply put we have developed and validated a platform that does this and a lot more. We are hiring for this key role to co-pilot our imminent GTM activities and operations as the goal here is to build a quickly growing venture backed scale up together with tier-1 VC's. Among others we have interest from A16Z.
Our platform is a spin off from an adjacent product and startup and has been built together with hundreds of real users using the platform on a daily basis. Building the platform we have seen all the things you wish to see when building a B2C SaaS, high retention numbers, users coming back daily and sessions longer than the norm. The product is seriously sticky. The product we have built is not a MVP, it's a polished commercial ready native iOS application ready to be scaled. Not only do we know this intuitively but also In talks with industry leaders and voices it is clear that what we are building has not been attempted before and no one is doing what we are doing.
We are currently a small but growing team consisting of a lean product team of 4 people, including CEO as Head of Product, one operations / marketing person and 3 highly seasoned advisors. We are adding on key people including this leadership role among other marketing functions such as community managers to support our imminent GTM.

We have identified and validated a freemium business model. In addition we have found that many corporates are wiling to support research around the positive mental health impact of real-time connection around YouTube.
Impact & Mental Health
As a society we are plagued by the distraction of digital media. We are exploring scientific research together with leading scientists around the mental health impact of the platform we are building. Our hypothesis is that we can increase face-to-face time spent together between our users, thus reducing loneliness, increasing the quality of relationships, among a host of other benefits.
