The Role

As Head of Finance and Accounting, you will fully own Go Autonomous’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance. You will work closely with our leadership team, external bookkeepers, and executive assistant while playing a pivotal role in scaling our finance function to support the company’s growth.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience both in a top-tier accounting firm and a financial in-house function within a company; however, everyone with aspirations to build and lead a finance team as the business expands is encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

• Prepare and present monthly financial reports for investors and the board of directors.

• Develop and maintain financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes.

• Oversee compliance with tax regulations and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.

• Collaborate with management to design and implement internal financial controls, ensuring efficiency and reducing risk.

• Support strategic decision-making by monitoring and analyzing key financial metrics.

• Lead efforts to improve and streamline financial systems and processes as the company scales.

• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as required.

• Play a leading role in growing the finance team over time to support business expansion.

About You

We’re seeking an individual who is both strategic and hands-on, combining technical expertise with a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.

What You Bring:

• A strong background in finance and accounting, with:

  • Prior experience at a leading accounting firm.

  • Hands-on experience in an in-house finance role at a company.

• A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial modelling, and budgeting.

• Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics and operations (a plus, but not required).

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

• High attention to detail and a proven ability to implement financial controls and processes.

• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Willingness to do hands-on work.
