The importance of bacteria in both industrial and medical applications is expanding exponentially. SBT Instruments is an instrument manufacturer offering equipment for fast and accurate bacteria-counting, which is accelerating R&D and optimization work within the biotech and biopharmaceutical industries.
We are looking for a student assistant to join our software development and R&D team at our facilities in Herlev.
As software developer student assistant, you will work together with our technicians, engineers, and scientists. Your primary task is to develop software for our real-time bacteria sensor, the applications that support it, and the tooling around it. These tasks span the entire software stack: From digital signal processing and detection algorithms to business logic and UI. You will be involved in both the theoretical software design and the practical implementation. As a smaller company everyone takes part when help is needed, so you must be prepared for that.
The position is offered as a part-time job with an estimated workload of 12–16 hours per week. Working hours will be mutually agreed taking your studies into account.
The ideal candidate:
Studies computer science, software engineering, software development, or similar
Is familiar with Python and TypeScript
Has a structured and systematic approach to tasks
Has high standards for quality, ethics, and execution
Has strong skills in written and spoken English, and preferably also in Danish
Has a ‘can-do’ attitude, is open minded, energetic, and positive
We value an informal tone of voice in our day-to-day work at SBT Instruments, and we would prefer to find yet another team player who can easily switch between being jovial and professional.
Your application is forwarded to our CTO, Frederik Aalund. You can also reach him by phone if you have questions concerning the position.
We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and will not hesitate to hire the right candidate immediately.
