Founded in Denmark in 2017, we currently have offices in Copenhagen, London and New York - and are rapidly expanding into new markets.

We're now looking for a Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and developing the engineering team to align with the company's strategic objectives. This role balances technical leadership, team management, strategic planning, and cross-departmental collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web based software engineering and architecture, proven leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to push the boundaries of what is possible.

About the job

Mentor and develop engineers and team leads
Drive team performance and professional growth
Partner closely with VP Product to align engineering practices with product strategy, enhancing overall team efficiency and product delivery
Lead hiring to build a talented engineering team
Guide technical solutions and strategic planning
Be the engineering advisor in client discussions, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and enabling successful client partnerships
Oversee infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security
Promote quality documentation and team training
Assist in security compliance, certifications, and audits

About you

Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams, preferably in a high-growth technology company
Proven track record of scaling technology and teams effectively
Strong experience in mentoring engineers and creating high-quality engineering teams
Deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and cloud infrastructure
Ability to navigate and lead through change with an emphasis on best practices and industry standards
Keen interest and preferably experience in our tech stack of Laravel, GraphQL and VueJS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
A strong motivation for leadership and people management.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Strong product mindset and ability to align technology with business objectives
Professional and proactive approach to leadership and problem-solving.
Ability to maintain a high-level overview while paying attention to details.
Structured and strategic thinking to drive the engineering team forward.
