PWN Copenhagen is a dynamic network that fosters professional development and creates a vibrant community. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Event Manager who will join our Board. Please note, this is a voluntary position and you will need to join this organization as a premium member before starting in this position.


Event Manager Role Summary:

The Event Manager is responsible for maintaining the overall event schedule for PWN Copenhagen. It is her/his role to ensure events are planned by the various team members well in advance, that all the practical details are taken care of, and that volunteers are assigned and supported in the event planning and execution process. This role exists to support coordination and planning between the team, and ensure a high quality and consistency in the delivery of events. This role also manages the team of volunteers from the network, ensuring they are aware of new events being planned and motivated to continue giving their time to help.

Each member of the Board and Executive team is responsible for planning and supporting the events we run. The Event Manager will also be expected to plan and run 2-3 events / year supporting the themes and topics identified by the members and team or through their own initiative, and be a support to the other events planned by the team. The Event Manager should endeavor to attend most events but is not required to be at every event if there are enough volunteers supporting the event’s execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a structured intake of event suggestions from members and the broader community. Check responses and offers on the specific google form and present to the board members (monthly)

  • Ensure the event schedule is up to date and that events are being planned 6+ months in advance

  • Manage the event volunteers group and regularly recruit for new members. Distribute volunteers roles in structured way

  • Monitor event related emails from members (routed to own email address)

  • Archive details of each event on google drive

    • Define best practices for how to run an event

    • A list of speakers

    • A venue and contacts / conditions for its use

  • Main point of contact for venue partners / sponsors (e.g. Djøf)

  • Publish events on the website, send reminders to all registered participants

  • Maintains current and relevant information on PWN Copenhagen webpage (Events part)

  • Review event feedback for benchmarking and improvement purposes


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience in event planning and management, ideally within a non-profit or volunteer-based organization.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for members.


Time Commitment: Approx. 5 hours per week
