Product Design Student Assistant

About Us

Monthio is a fintech scale-up company established in 2018 with the ambition to redefine financial services. We have around 60 employees and reside in Parken, Østerbro. We offer a B2B SaaS product that financial institutions use to determine creditworthiness and automate their decision making when providing loans. The success of our company is heavily driven by our ability to solve real problems using our superior data processing and ability to create modern and intuitive customer experiences.

The Role

As a product design student assistant, your creativity and skills will contribute to the transformation of Open Banking solutions. You'll play a crucial role as a part of our design team collaborating with our senior product designer, product managers, and engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge solutions in a fintech scale-up environment. We’re looking for someone who can work around 12-15h a week. If your degree requires an internship, we’re open to that option as well.

Your responsibilities:

1. General design collaboration: Work closely with the product designer, product manager, and engineering team to create feature-specific designs as well as contributing to the entire application through everything from ideation to iterations. We do most of our work in Figma.

2. Set up dev-ready-files: Set up existing or new Figma files so they’re clean, organised and ready for development.

3. User research: Engage in user research, testing, and feedback analysis to identify areas for improvement in our product.

4. Design systems mastery: Assist in updating and maintaining our design system, ensuring it evolves with the dynamic needs of our product and users. Currently, we’re working on creating the best design system to facilitate design-engineering collaboration, so if you have an understanding of frontend development, that’s a bonus.

You Are…

• A current student within Design, Interaction Design, UX, Multimedia, Innovation, or a related field.

• Proficient in Figma - or willing to become it.

• A good communicator, both verbal and visual. We don’t just need good designs, but also good ways of presenting them and organizing them.

• Eager to learn and adapt.

• Fluent in English.

• A great colleague and fun to work with!

Advantage if you also have:

• Experience with design systems.

• Experience with WCAG and general designing for accessibility.

• Experience designing data- and information heavy dashboards.

• Experience with user testing.

• UI micro-animations skills.

Work Arrangement

Part time student assistant, 12-15h weekly. We’re flexible to accommodate internships in relation to educational needs. We’re a hybrid workplace, so we offer flexibility, both in terms of work hours and working from home.

Starting date is flexible, but preferably sooner rather than later.
