We're now looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer - API & Architecture to join our growing team and contribute to our mission.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer - API & Architecture at Delogue, you will be responsible for designing and building state-of-the-art APIs while working closely with a cross-functional team of developers. You’ll be at the forefront of building scalable and reliable systems, empowering our existing development team with best practices, and ensuring high technical standards across the board.

You will:

• Lead by example with your technical expertise in building and optimising APIs and architecture.

• Develop cloud-based, highly available, and scalable solutions, leveraging Azure cloud services and .NET.

• Architect and implement robust API solutions, with a focus on best practices and performance optimisation.

• Work directly with the product team to understand requirements, explore innovative solutions, and advise on technical feasibility.

• Mentor and guide the development team to adopt best practices and improve code quality.

• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless deployments and continuous integration.

• Contribute to the development of software systems that enhance the user experience, while maintaining a focus on architecture, scalability, and performance.

• Respond to urgent technical challenges, ensuring our systems remain stable and performant even during high-pressure situations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will be both designing and implementing solutions, while also empowering your colleagues through knowledge-sharing and mentorship.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, ideally within B2B SaaS.

• At least 2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure setup and management.

• Strong expertise in API design, architecture, and performance optimisation.

• Proven experience with SQL Server and database optimisation techniques.

• Familiarity with a variety of data stores and message queues (Postgres, NoSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, Kafka, Rabbitmq, etc.).

• Expertise in cloud-native application architectures and deployment strategies.

• Proficiency with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization.

• Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

• Experience mentoring and empowering a development team to improve technical practices.

• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

• Fluent in English with excellent presentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):

• Familiarity with Linux-based software stacks.

• Strong coding skills in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript (Node.js).

• Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks.

• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their application in software development.
