At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.
40% of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste.
We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as our Retail Technologies offering, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.
We’re growing fast: Our community of 103 million registered users and 237,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 373+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1009.000 tonnes of CO2e!
Your mission
With our current scale and impact on the problem of food waste, it is vitally important that we continue to create a product that consumers love and a product that brings strong and ever-increasing value to our partners. As a Staff Product Manager, you will be at the heart of that.
As a Staff Product Manager, you will join our established Product Organisation. The Product Organisation is overall responsible for driving the product development and optimisation of the entire Too Good To Go product portfolio and consists of Product Managers, Data/Insights analysts and Product/UX Designers. We currently have an open position as Staff Product Manager - which reports directly to our VP of Product.
Responsibilities
As a Staff Product Manager, you will drive product vision and strategy for a major product or suite of products in our marketplace. You will be responsible for navigating ambiguity, solving undefined problems, and creating clarity from uncertainty. Working with cross-functional teams, you will influence market segments and deliver innovative solutions that advance our mission and our business goals. You are seen as a strategic leader, shaping high-impact decisions and collaborating closely with senior executives to ensure alignment with the broader business strategy.
The specific responsibilities of a Staff Product Manager role are:
- Define and Drive Product Strategy: Develop product strategy and OKRs where none exist, setting a clear direction across consumer and partner-focused product areas. You will shape the roadmap to improve the current offering and drive new innovations that impact market segments and business growth.
- Handle Ambiguity with Independence: Lead initiatives where business opportunities and product strategies are not clearly defined. Drive clarity, work with unknowns, and create structured pathways to deliver results.
- Influence Senior Leadership: Serve as the key product thought partner for senior leadership, managing stakeholder feedback and pushback while advocating for product strategy. You will champion product goals and mobilise and motivate your team and stakeholders to deliver against a shared vision.
- Leverage Data to Inform Decisions: Translate business goals into actionable product metrics. You will turn data limitations into strategic briefs for the relevant teams, and use both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product decisions, balancing anecdotal evidence with data. You will also evangelise new customer learnings across the organisation to raise our collective understanding.
- Strategic Leadership and Thought Partner: As a thought leader in product, present and drive strategic product decisions (such as investment proposals, OKRs, and product roadmaps) to senior leadership and the Board. You will proactively communicate high-level risks and mitigations, ensuring product discussions remain aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Orchestrate Cross-Functional Teams: Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other product stakeholders, to bring product ideas to life. Lead with confidence in fast-paced environments, managing execution while retaining focus on long-term strategy.
- Bridge Technology and Business Needs: Work closely with highly technical teams, resolving high-level technical challenges, conducting build vs buy evaluations, and weighing the pros and cons of different technology solutions. You will leverage your technical fluency to introduce new technologies that address business problems and drive product innovation.
- Optimise Processes and Efficiency: Constantly analyse workflows, processes, and user journeys to optimise and drive operational efficiency. You will develop recommendations for process improvements that align with long-term product and business ambitions.
Requirement
- Multi-year experience as a Senior or Staff Product Manager, ideally within a marketplace or technology domain. Experience in management consulting is a plus.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategies with a balance of long-term vision and short-term delivery.
- Advanced analytical skills, capable of turning business objectives into measurable product metrics, and using data and insights to inform product decisions.
- Strong technical fluency with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with highly technical teams and resolve complex product challenges.
- Customer-focused, with a history of conducting user research and using product analytics to drive success. You are skilled in identifying opportunities and optimising user experiences through data-driven insights.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and complexity.
- Comfortable leading in high-paced, ever-changing environments, with a growth mindset and a relentless drive to deliver impactful results.
- Passionate about creating value, and bring energy, ownership, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo and are seen as a fun, inspiring leader by your team and peers.
