The purpose of the role

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences, providing valuable insights, and putting customers first? At Reshape, we’re looking for a dedicated Customer-Focused Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to advancing a more sustainable future through cutting-edge microbiological data analysis.

In this position, you’ll work closely with the Customer Excellence team, applying your data science expertise to ensure a seamless and impactful user experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leveraging data science skills to analyze customer data, both manually and by developing automated pipelines, enabling customers to extract maximum value and insights.

• Collaborating with the CX team to troubleshoot technical challenges, address inquiries, and provide exceptional support and solutions to customer needs

• Participating in customer meetings to understand their goals, gather feedback, and provide expert guidance on maximizing the value of their data

• Taking ownership of annotation and ML workflows, from oversight and validation to ensuring the delivery of robust, high-performing machine learning models that meet or exceed quality standards.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Customer-focused mindset: You thrive on engaging with customers daily, building strong relationships, and understanding their needs

• Strong communication skills: You have a proven ability to convey technical insights clearly and effectively in English, making complex concepts accessible and actionable.

• Excel at managing multiple projects: You have strong organizational skills and can juggle multiple priorities effectively, ensuring each project progresses smoothly and meets its goals.

• Technical expertise: You bring 3+ years of experience in Python for data science, including expertise in data visualization and machine learning. Familiarity with image analysis is an advantage.

  • Specifically we’re using frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch, Ultralytics, HuggingFace

• Consultative experience: Previous experience in a consultancy-based role is a strong plus, especially where you’ve worked directly with clients to deliver impactful solutions.

• Startup experience: Previous experience or strong interest in fast-growing startups is a plus.

• Educational background: Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
