Senior FP&A Manager

Salary Competitive

Do you want to help the world EV better?

We’re looking for talented Senior FP&A Manager to join our Finance team.

Is this you?

As the Senior FP&A Manager, you will be at the core of our financial operations, driving planning, analysis, and strategic insights to support our growth ambitions. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to build robust financial models, forecast future results, and deliver actionable recommendations. From the outset, you will lead one direct report, an FP&A Analyst, to support the delivery of key projects and initiatives.

Who are we?

We are Monta: the powerful EV platform connecting the dots in the entire EV charging industry. We serve drivers, companies, cities, and the electricity grid with our proactive technology.

We have a dream…

EV charging is our passion. We want to make it simple, accessible, and reliable for everyone. Since our technology is compatible with all charge point brands (!), we aim to help everyone enjoy the same, consistent charging experience: from EV drivers in their homes to charge point owners, EV charging businesses or EV fleets. We tackle the complexities of the ecosystem in a truly technological way, providing a tailored software solution for all things EV.

Want to hear something big?

We recently closed a huge Series B round, totalling 80M EUR! In other words: we’re well on our way to revolutionizing the global EV charging experience. And how will we use our new funding? We plan to double down on our successful software-only strategy by strengthening our investments in all markets, and expanding our products to all new sectors ready to set off on an electrified future. Once that’s done, the sky’s the limit 🚀

Here are some things you’ll be working on:

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to dive into the details, refine processes, and lead high-impact projects. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are passionate about empowering decision-making through data, this role is for you.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead and manage the annual budgeting process across the company, ensuring alignment with business goals and providing senior leadership with clear, actionable insights.
  • Oversee the monthly rolling forecasting process, including the preparation and updating of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis, comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts, and provide detailed explanations of variances to senior management.
  • Work closely with department heads to create department-level budgets and ensure accurate, timely reporting for each function.
  • Support M&A and fundraising efforts by providing financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Prepare and support Board and investor reporting, ensuring timely delivery of financial updates and strategic insights.
  • Partner with revenue-focused teams to enhance revenue predictability, identify critical drivers of value creation and align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing operations and working cross-functionally to implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Enhance and automate forecasting, reporting, and analytics to support scalable FP&A operations.

To do this, we imagine you to have the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
  • 5-7 years of FP&A or related finance experience, ideally within a high- growth and/or SaaS environment.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Experience partnering with revenue-focused teams (e.g., Sales, RevOps, Marketing) is a plus.
  • Player-coach: You seamlessly balance leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations.
  • Analytical Excellence: You are highly detail-oriented and can distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with advanced Excel and ERP systems; experience with budgeting and reporting software is a plus.
  • Strategic Mindset: You excel at connecting the dots between financial insights and business strategy.
  • Resilient Leader: You can navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Communicator: You can present complex financial information in a simple, impactful manner.

(Do you fit most of these requirements, but not all? That’s fine: we’d love to hear from you all the same!)

We believe that accelerating and democratising the adoption of EV technology is key to building a better future. Monta’s mission is to provide the best technology solutions for the entire EV charging cycle. At our core, we provide access, innovation, and reliability to the mobility transformation. We're here to make the transition to electric mobility as seamless and exciting as possible. With a single integrated software built to EV better. Founded in 2020 our team has been growing fast and are now more than 200 employees with 47 different nationalities. Our HQ is based in Copenhagen, and we have offices in Oslo, Berlin, Paris, London and just opened Barcelona. Our culture is based on trust, transparency, and respect, where everyone contributes to making Monta what it is. You don't have to work 9-17, we trust our people to know how they work best. We empower each team to choose how and when they work. Inclusion is also a big part of our culture, and we make sure that everybody feels welcome, heard and able to bring all of who they are to work. We take it upon ourselves to protect this space that has allowed us to get this far. Monta is dedicated to encouraging a supportive, diverse and inclusive culture amongst all Monteers as they are fundamental to our values as a company. One of the best things about Monta is our people. Right from the get-go you will feel how inclusive, diverse, sociable and friendly our team is. We go to the office as much as possible, not because we have to, but because we enjoy each other's company - even outside work hours we hang out together. We have lots of different clubs you can join, there's a chess club, a ski club, (there's a slack channel for every little interest we can bond over). Everyone is very passionate about what we do and invested in the product and their role. We are a team of innovators, experts, and “bar-setters” in our fields. We believe that we can create the path needed to sustainably scale the industry towards the future. We're biased toward action, so we're always looking for ways to improve and make things work for many, not just few. We don't just want to be good at what we do—we want to be the best at it. Better results, better technology, better systems, better together. The combination of all this, and the feeling that we are contributing something great to the world, gives everyone a strong sense of belonging and makes our employees and customers want to work with us - it helps our company thrive. Everyone here is proud to be a 'Monteer'. If you’d like to work in a green, tech-driven company and are passionate about innovation, we might be the right fit! We've got an incredible team, and hope to find more peers who can help us push things even further.
