Join kapa.ai as our founding Account Executive, working directly with our YC-backed founding team of ex-Airbnb, Uber, McKinsey, and Goldman operators alongside PhD researchers. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale the sales function at a rapidly growing AI startup, with significant earning potential and career growth.
You'll joing as our second member of our sales team and work closely with the founding team to refine our sales strategy, build relationships with engineering leaders, and close complex enterprise deals. Your work will directly shape our go-to-market strategy and define how we tell our story to customers.
Own the full sales cycle for SMB and enterprise deals, from prospecting to closing
Work closely with founders to develop and refine our sales playbook
Build relationships with engineering leaders at high-growth companies
Navigate complex technical discussions about our AI/LLM capabilities
Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Collaborate with our engineering team to scope customer requirements and guide product roadmap
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product strategy
Track record of consistently exceeding quota in enterprise B2B software sales
Strong technical background or ability to quickly grasp and articulate complex technical concepts
Experience selling to engineering leaders and developer-focused products
Excellent discovery skills and ability to understand customer pain points
Self-starter mentality with proven ability to build processes from scratch
Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and developer tools
Strategic mindset with ability to contribute to overall go-to-market strategy
