Are you an experienced and commercially oriented manager who can lead our Engineering and R&D efforts through our scale-up phase and thereby help propel ag analytics further on its journey? If you answered yes, then you might be the Head of Engineering we are looking for.

ag analytics A/S is a leading auto-tech company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We specialise in marketing automation and customer satisfaction for the automotive industry. Our product, Autoflows, is used by more than 1000 car dealers across Europe.

Our team is rapidly growing, and we are now looking for a passionate Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering is expected to be a dedicated, decisive, and analytical developer with management experience in SaaS, who will take over and further develop our Engineering team, consisting of 7 employees in Copenhagen.

 

What you will do

  • Own all the aspects of the delivery of our products.

  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, security, and performance.

  • Lead and provide sparring and guidance to our first class Engineering team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the business and user needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.

  • Improve the development process to be efficient, agile, transparent and predictable to the rest of the organisation.

  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and potential roadblocks.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential issues.

  • Track project progress, identify and resolve challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Monitor project quality and ensure deliverables meet all functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and best practices, as well as project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management within a software development environment.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

  • Experience working in a Java and Python development environments (a plus).

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage workloads, and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., YouTrack, Jira, Asana, Trello).

  • Experience using Git and Git workflows for source control management.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

You will work from our Copenhagen office, located by Højbro Plads in the tech start-up community Matrikel 1.

 

About our interview process

  • Online or face-to-face introduction to ag analytics and you (30 minutes).

  • Tech introduction talk with our lead developer

  • Case-based interview with team members and CEO (1 hour).

  • Closing talk with CEO including compensation, starting date, and all other practical details (30 minutes).
