PWN Copenhagen is a dynamic network that fosters professional development and creates a vibrant community. We are seeking a passionate and skilled VP of Events who will join the Board, helping us elevate the quality of our events. Please note, this is a voluntary position. You need to join this organization as a premium member before starting in this position.


VP Events Role Summary:

The VP of Events at PWN Copenhagen oversees the entire event strategy, ensuring all activities align with the organization's mission to promote gender-balanced leadership. This leadership position is responsible for setting the vision for events, ensuring that they support the organization's objectives and deliver value to both members and corporate partners. The VP of Events supervises the Event Managers and works closely with other Board Members, volunteers, and partners to deliver a diverse range of high-quality events that enhance the member experience and strengthen the network’s presence in the community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and oversee the long-term event strategy for PWN Copenhagen, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member needs.

    • Work with the Board to identify priority themes and topics for the year's events, ensuring a diverse mix of content that promotes gender-balanced leadership.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Manage and mentor two Event Managers who are responsible for the hands-on planning and execution of events.

    • Oversee the Event Managers’ responsibilities, ensuring they maintain the event schedule, manage logistics, and work with volunteers.

    • Serve as a point of escalation for any event-related challenges and ensure problems are resolved efficiently.

  • Volunteer Management:

    • Support Event Managers in leading and recruiting the volunteer team, ensuring there are enough volunteers for each event and that they are motivated and trained.

    • Facilitate strong communication between the volunteer team and the broader PWN Copenhagen community.

  • Event Metrics and Reporting:

    • Track event success through feedback, attendance, and other key metrics. Use data to continually improve event quality and impact.

    • Present event performance and strategic updates to the Board, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of Event Managers and volunteers.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Experience in event planning and management, ideally within a non-profit or volunteer-based organization.

  • Ability to foster relationships with external partners, sponsors, and venues.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for members.


Time Commitment: Approx. 5 hours per week
