Lola&Lykke: SEO & Ecommerce Intern

Type: Part-time & fixed term contract, moderate compensation paid depending on experience. 30 hrs per week, 6-month contract depending on availability, with a possibility for continuation / permanent role.

Lola&Lykke has been growing rapidly internationally since 2018. In five years, we´ve created a globally recognised, digitally-native consumer brand, designed and launched several award-winning products and established extensive sales networks. We currently operate in the European market - with the UK and Finland as our largest markets - and are expanding to the US in early 2025. Our business currently employs six permanent staff and several talented freelancers. To support our growth and ecommerce operations, we are now looking for an Ecommerce & Analytics Intern who is passionate about new digital technologies and ecommerce.

As SEO & Ecommerce Intern you will assist and support Lola&Lykke´s digital marketing and ecommerce teams in achieving their goals. You will execute administrative tasks around website updates, content uploading, Google visibility, keywords, SEO support and digital marketing activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to learn about start-up operations, global ecommerce, and the newest trends in digital marketing / analytics.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Arranging translations for content

• Content uploading to our website

• Website updating (Shopify) in English and Finnish

• SEO support including tagging images, adding headers, keywords, meta-tags, etc

• Assisting with existing content restructuring, adding section headers, keywords, links etc

• Ecommerce analytics support, supporting conversion optimization and reducing bounce rate

• Digital marketing support

  
  

Working in a fast-paced start-up environment provides you great opportunities to take responsibility and grow your expertise in a variety of different tasks, but it also demands a driven, proactive working style and great problem-solving skills. The intern we are looking for is hungry to learn and not afraid of trying out new things. As the role is quite technical, we are looking for someone with good digital skills, although prior experience in using systems like Shopify is not required – we will teach you that here! Above all what matters to us is a positive, can-do attitude. Everything else can be learned. You should also be precise, pay attention to detail and have fluent skills in both Finnish and English. You will be responsible for uploading content to our new website in both English and Finnish so native level skills in Finnish are required for this reason.

We expect you to have:

• Understanding and a general knowledge on the big picture of digital marketing and e-commerce

• Relevant academic background (e.g. marketing, business or IT)

• Precise, detail-oriented and thorough working style. You are also fully capable of working independently and at the same time being a true team player in a geographically dispersed team. We also appreciate your previous experience in a startup environment.

• Fluent communication and written skills in English and in Finnish 

• Collaborative and adaptable personality to keep up with Lola&Lykke’s growth, and turn challenges into success stories
