We are searching for a Legal and Compliance Manager to spearhead Veo’s compliance efforts and provide legal assistance for our company. You will work closely with the Legal Team to support various departments across Veo, focusing on taking ownership of compliance-related projects. As our compliance function is still being established, this is a unique opportunity for you to impact Veo as we grow significantly.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee sanctions & export control regimes as part of our market expansion.
- Review, update, and monitor the company’s risk assessment together with other key Veo departments, including implementing and mitigating risk measures.
- Oversee the company’s insurance program.
- Draft and implement compliance policies and guidelines, including ongoing review and update.
- Develop and implement relevant compliance projects with other key stakeholders, including ongoing monitoring of such projects.
- Conduct training sessions for colleagues across Veo on compliance topics.
- Provide legal support to Veo’s departments in various legal areas, particularly on AI and GDPR-related matters.
- Communicating with and managing third parties, especially external counsels.
Your qualifications:
- Graduate with a master's degree in law or business law from one of the Nordic countries.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a compliance role is required, and additional expertise in areas such as sanctions, compliance, risk management, and GDPR is considered beneficial.
- Established experience with effective management and implementation of projects within legal compliance.
- Comprehensive business understanding with an interest in developing solutions that align with business needs, including automation and digitalization.
- Experience in advising and supporting colleagues across departments, considering the company’s strategy and risk profile.
- A collaborative individual who excels in embracing a variety of responsibilities and overcoming obstacles.
- Effective proficiency in English, encompassing oral and written communication).
