We seek an ambitious leader to manage both finance and operations, steering our hardtech scale-up to international success. As the Head of Finance and Operations, you will be a strong co-pilot to the CEO. This role offers the potential to grow into a C-level position.

The right person has a strong intuitive sense of the 80/20 rule, knowing where to focus to ensure optimal overall progress, preferably being operations-savvy with a penchant for finance, or finance-savvy from a background in operations or production environments. 👔 KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Strategic Contribution:

• Provide insights and evaluate financial implications for major strategic decisions.

• Inform & execute on business strategy, milestone planning, commercial growth, operational expansion, and fundraising.

• Co-develop & maintain key assets for the company including a robust & flexible financial model, supply chain partnership agreements, and customer engagement models. 

Operational Optimization:

• Obtain and manage key assets essential for business scale-up, i.e. certifications, partnership agreements, SOPs etc.

• Ensure business and factory efficiency levels are maintained, incl. Key-hires and team-management

• Provide requirements and feedback on Rodinia’s software and hardware developments to improve the overall solution on operational excellence.

Financial Management:

• Lead budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting.

• Manage risk and compliance, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

• Develop scalable finance control and workflows with third-party tech providers.

• Co-lead fundraising efforts across grants, debt, and equity.

Production and Deployment:

• Optimize production operations for demand: speed, capacity, and cost efficiency.

• Develop financial and operational playbooks for production facilities and their deployment.

• Lead the production-team ensuring customer orders meet expected deadlines

• Lead operational expansion across geographies (C-level requirement)

🎯 QUALIFICATIONS 

Professional Competencies:

• Over 5 years of senior-level financial management experience with a relevant academic degree.

• Solid experience in risk and compliance management.

• Experience engaging with the Board, C-suite, and stakeholders.

• Ideally experienced in growth and expansion to international markets

• Ideally experienced with VC fundraising and grant applications.

Personal Characteristics:

• Highly analytical with the ability to strategise and deal with complexity 

• Outstanding overview / capability to keep many boats afloat simultaneously

• Operational skills, willing to engage hands-on 

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
