Teacherspace is looking for our first technical hire to join us in our mission to help teachers reach their full potential, thereby improving well-being and learning opportunities for children.
After building our MVP in the summer of 2022, we have since built out the first version of our platform, resulting in a fully functioning web app and mobile apps for iOS and Android and now we’re looking for our first full-time developer to help us continue our growth and follow our ambitious roadmap.
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Lead to join our team and drive the development of our platform for teachers and schools.

Sold Teacherspace Video to schools and organizations in six countries - most of our customers are still in Denmark
Generated over €150K in sales
Developed fully functioning web and mobile apps for iOS and Android
Lead the technical development and architecture of our platform and implement all new features and build new products
Enhance our existing web app (Elixir) and mobile apps (React Native)
Spearhead AI integration initiatives to improve our educational tools including automatic speech recognition, LLMs
Make key technical decisions that will shape the future of our platform
3-5 years of full-stack development experience
Strong skills in web development - knowledge about mobile development is a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Self-motivated learner with a knack for user-centric design
Familiarity with tools like Slack, Linear, Figma, and Loom
Experience in Elixir, Ruby on Rails, and React Native is a bonus, but not a requirement.
A big part of our roadmap is related to AI, and experience or interest in Python is a big plus.
Competitive salary - range: 30.000 - 37.500 DKK (€-4-5 K) per month

We're based in Copenhagen and prefer candidates who can work from our office. However, we're open to remote work within a few time zones for the right candidate and we have experience with working with remote developers.

Jesper - CEO
Jesper was the co-founder and CEO of Teach First Danmark from 2014 to 2021 and has experience with startups Podio (sold to Citrix) and Riidr.com (sold to JP/Politiken). Jesper previously led Teach First Danmark to raise over $8 million and impact over 20.000 students.
Jesper is a lifelong AC Milan fan and spent three years living in Italy. He enjoys spending time with his three young children and has a passion for hip-hop, cooking, and poetry.
Frederik - CPO
Frederik is a certified teacher with bachelor’s degrees in film and media studies, and electrical engineering. Between 2019 and 2022 he taught elementary school. Frederik has firsthand experience as a new teacher and has also mentored more than 30 new teachers.
Frederik is also a lifelong AC Milan fan, an avid reader, and a concert enthusiast and spends time with his newborn baby.
