PRODUCT AND DESIGN INTERN (UNPAID)

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product and Design Intern to join our team. As a Product and Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced design team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of furniture design in a fast-growing start-up.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and conceptualise new furniture designs.

• Create detailed sketches, renderings, and 3D models of furniture concepts.

• Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture projects.

• Support the design team in product development, prototyping, and testing.

• Help maintain organised design records, including drawings and specifications.

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging design technologies.

• Work with marketing team graphic assistance for SoMe

• Contribute to product launch strategies and visual storytelling

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.

• Strong passion for furniture design and a keen eye for aesthetics.

• Proficiency in design software such as Rhino, Keyshot, SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Excellent sketching and drawing skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to take constructive feedback and incorporate it into your work.

• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of sustainable design principles is a plus.
