We are seeking a quantitatively strong .NET Core developer to join our quant team building automated budgeting solutions for our European clients within the personal banking and consumer finance segment.

About You:

You probably have a background in computer science or mathematics and at least 5 years of experience developing data processing heavy applications in C#.

Experience from the financial sector is an advantage, as the daily work requires a good understanding of consumer banking and personal finance. 

You feel comfortable working on business critical systems, and you are strongly opinionated about choice of testing strategies.

You are motivated by the challenge of building reliable software in a CI/CD setting.

You enjoy the challenge of working at the intersection between data science and software development.

Fluency in English, as it is our company language.

The Role:

Based on input from domain experts you will implement the software at the core of monthio that builds a 360 degree view of a loan applicant's financial situation using bank transactions and other data sources as inputs.

You will help continually adapt the core engine architecture and testing strategy to rapidly changing requirements as we expand into new markets and extend our offering in existing markets.

You will be part of a continous refactoring effort to keep complexity in check while the number of input sources steadily grows.

The Team:

The mission of the quant team is to ensure that our clients can have full trust in the datasets that we deliver, that form the data foundation for credit evaluation which is at the core of our clients business:

As code owners of the core engine, the quant team collaborates with other teams to make sure that new features are implemented in such a way that we can always guarantee consistency and correctness of the data we deliver. Through continuous improvement we also make sure that implementing new features is as frictionless as possible. The team works in close collaboration with a team of domain experts tasked with understanding the particularities of each market that we operate in, to ensure that we can meet current and future requirements.

As code owners of the transaction classification engine, we work closely with data scientists to give them the tooling they need to perform their work efficiently.

Monthio has clients in 5 different European countries and the main challenge of the quant team is to deliver the data foundation for creditworthiness assessment while accommodating variations due to differences in local regulations. The quant team is responsible for building and maintaining a data processing architecture that can continuously incorporate requirements for new markets with a very low tolerance for mistakes along the way.

We work with CI/CD based on github and azure devops. Our entire tech stack is modern and cloud based (Azure). Our datalake solution is build on databricks.
