Ocean.io is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (m/f/x) to join our leadership team. This role is critical to our growth strategy, ensuring robust financial management and strategic planning. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and sustainable growth. We are open to various constellations, offering this position as full-time, part-time, or on an interim basis, with the potential for it to roll over into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making, long-term planning, and business growth.

• Board Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the board, offering clear insights and actionable recommendations.

• KPI’s: Be in charge of the complete set of SaaS KPIs used both internally and externally in fundraising. 

• Accounting & Compliance: Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for our U.S. and Denmark entity.

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring financial performance against goals and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring liquidity and optimizing capital structure.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, maintaining a robust risk management framework.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a CFO from a SaaS company.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

• Skills: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.

• Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in an interim or part-time capacity, adapting to the evolving needs of a growing company.

• Preferred Language Skills: Proficiency in Danish is preferred, as it aids in understanding Danish authorities and regulations. Our main language spoken in the office is English.
