As a License Manager at Viio, you will play an absolutely pivotal role in securing the success of our professional services. This role will not only be responsible for license removal and planning but also to give input to and sometimes drive the negotiation with software and cloud vendors. Coordinate and execute license removal activities with stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Develop efficient processes to identify and remove unused licenses, optimizing utilization.
Maintain accurate master data for software licenses, enforcing governance and collaborating on updates.
Monitor license agreements and usage for compliance, conducting periodic audits to ensure adherence.
Engage stakeholders to understand current and future software needs/concerns
Generate reports and give feedback on license utilization and compliance status, analyzing trends for optimization opportunities.
Manage and/or give input to vendor relationships, negotiating terms and resolving licensing disputes promptly.
Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data-driven insights.
Bachelor’s degree or higher (ex. Business/Communications/Marketing, or a related field)
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with software license management
Solid understanding of master data management principles and practices.
Knowledge/experience with software license management tools and systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 19770).
