The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in building SoilSense's sales infrastructure and strategy from the ground up. This role is ideal for a driven individual who is eager to establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with clients in the agricultural sector, develop strategic sales plans, and drive the adoption of our products to new heights.
Design and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the agriculture industry.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events and conferences.
Prepare detailed proposals and presentations that align with client needs and SoilSense’s offerings.
Negotiate and close deals while managing client expectations and ensuring their satisfaction.
Coordinate with the rest of the team to develop materials that support sales efforts.
Track record in sales, preferably within the agriculture, agri-tech, or related industries.
Strong understanding of the agricultural sector
Solid communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Passion for sustainability and agriculture.
Fluent in at least one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian or French
