TechBBQ is looking for an outstanding, part-time Partnerships Manager (student) to join our Partnerships team
TechBBQ started out as a small BBQ gathering for tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs back in 2013 in a park in Copenhagen. Over the years, we have grown and evolved into the largest event of its kind in Scandinavia gathering more than 8000+ amazing attendees from the startup ecosystem.
Every September, we welcome an increasing number of people from around the globe. Our annual summit expertly connects tech & hygge: it is designed so that you can meet innovative and groundbreaking startups in the ecosystem, discuss the latest trends, network in a cozy and vibrant atmosphere, get inspired by trendsetting speakers – and enjoy a good old-fashioned BBQ!
In 2024, we will be hosting our 12th event on the 11th and 12th of September.
As our new Partnerships Manager, you’ll be taking over the role from our current Partnerships Manager as she’s going on maternity leave. This is a junior position: We imagine that you are on your Master's or similar.
The position is part-time with about 15-20 hours a week and fits very well as a student job.
The Partnerships team is a small, dedicated team that works closely with the entire Nordic startup ecosystem to build strong partnerships and create activities for our ecosystem. The Partnerships Manager will be assisting the Head of Partnerships and the rest of the team in delivering the best possible experience to the partners involved in TechBBQ. This involves increasing our pipeline through research and outreach, as well as taking good care of our already existing corporate and investor partners.
We love entrepreneurship, ecosystems, and technology; but this is a commercial role, and you got to love sales, business development, and partnerships to thrive in it.
You love entrepreneurship, ecosystem building, and innovation. You have probably watched all Shark Tank/Løvens Hule episodes with excitement and are wondering why the judges are not asking all the right questions
You preferably have working experience with inbound & outbound account/partnership management
You love a challenge, and you thrive in a collaborative work environment that gives individuals high levels of autonomy and flexibility
You are, besides all of the above, very result driven and want to create a very successful career for yourself while doing good for both society and the world we live in
You are a team player who has a "greater good" perspective rather than an individualistic perspective. It's more important to have your colleagues back when they go through tough times than to land a sale
Identify and establish commercial partnerships with different companies/investors across the Nordics
Lead or take part in independent projects that make a difference for the Nordic Startup ecosystem
Outreach to inbound partners and new potential partners
Account management
Contract preparation and follow up
Improve our services to partners together with the team
Event planning & execution (side events, on-/offline), especially during the week of TechBBQ
We are looking forward receiving your application, so hit the apply button and join us :) !
