Our team at Donkey Republic, a pioneer in sustainable transportation solutions, is on the lookout for a dynamic Head of Marketing to spearhead our marketing initiatives and elevate our brand presence across Europe.

Your Role and Team :
As the Head of Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of urban transportation. With your strategic experience and strong leadership, you'll lead a team of talented marketers to new heights by driving revenue growth and expanding our rider base. The current team consists of 4 amazing Marketeers covering the full marketing mix, where each of them also holds expertise areas within the field. As the role will be reporting into our VP of Revenue & Growth, you’ll be closely connected to our business strategy, data analytics and growth ambitions.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team to achieve KPIs and targets for B2C revenue, new rider acquisition, and rider retention.
Enhance performance visibility through data-driven insights and trackable activities, ensuring cross-team communication and alignment.
Professionalize and optimize marketing operations through clear direction, communication, and execution strategies.
Foster collaboration and shared ambitions across commercial units, country managers, and other key stakeholders.
Revamp the Donkey Republic narrative and value proposition to resonate with our audience and enhance storytelling across PR and marketing channels.
Support management on investor relations and public relations matters, representing Donkey Republic with confidence and professionalism.
Your background:
Have 3-5+ years experience within a similar team/department leadership role
Proven track record in professionalizing and developing marketing teams through clear directions and communication
Proven track record in consistently reaching revenue based Marketing and succesfully leading a team across the marketing mix
Experience with the marketing mix, preferably with experience working with app-solutions
Be a marketing generalist having experience in working with digital marketing (Paid marketing, SEO, website, email marketing, and social media)
Have experience with Growth Marketing methodologies, strategies, and implementation for app-based businesses
Analytical mindset with knowledge in implementing automation into marketing initiatives, online strategies and user experience
Be a team player
Be a hands-on and go getter personality

Within 1 month
You get to know your internal stakeholders - your collaborators and understand dynamics and teams
You start understanding the complexity of our business setup and our history (people and business wise)
You get an overview of our marketing mix, how we plan, work and execute in the team
Within 3 months
You’ve started working on the revamp of our narrative - both IR and PR and developed new materials with the team
You’ve gotten a good understanding of our B2G business and how marketing can support it
You’ve gotten an understanding of the marketing team setup and have drafted plans for budgeting and collaboration across the business
You’ve setup various skill development plans with your team for coaching and developing them
You’ve gotten an overview of our most valuable channels (paid, organic, email and in-app) and how to improve outcomes
Within 6 months
You have a clear understanding of the business and are well on track reaching targets
You’ve set up a good process for supporting country managers with a clear scope on activities that are solved centrally
You’ve re-written the narrative of Donkey across platforms towards impact, sustainability and clarity for strategy towards long term contracts with cities
Within 12 months
You have reached 2024 targets with a team of skilled individuals who are ready to take on managerial responsibilities and accountability for their roles
Revenue generation in the team can be clearly tracked and has been communicated and followed up consistently over the year
