Signal Processing Engineer (Algorithm)

Salary €4,000 - €6,000

Company

Doublepoint creates cutting-edge interaction technology for next-generation UI’s in Augmented Reality. Our smartwatch algorithms detect subtle hand gestures. The difficulty is to make an algorithm that is accurate, responsive, and generalizable across populations all at the same time.

Role and Motivation

Doublepoint is looking for exceptional engineers to join our Algorithm Team. The team’s goal is to create cutting edge algorithms for gesture detection while simultaneously building a deep physical understanding of the phenomenon being measured. As a team member, your responsibilities will include for example:

  1. Devising and applying signal processing algorithms that extract relevant information to sense gesture phenomenon in real time using smartwatch sensors such as IMU and PPG

  2. Quantifying the role that certain factors have on the information content of the sensor stream, e.g., specific choices of sensor streams / processing techniques, user physiology, wristband mechanics, etc..

  3. Defining custom research devices and prototypes needed to answer such questions.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate would possess:

  1. A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field (Physics, Computer Science, etc. PhD preferred)

  2. Familiarity with signal processing, information theory, and smartwatch sensors such as IMU, PPG, and Electrodes.

  3. Experience with real time classification of time series data.

  4. 5 years signal processing experience
