Full-stack developer for venture-backed robotics scale-up

Salary Competitive

Ready to join a team that's reshaping how we think about food and farming?

We're Seasony, a dynamic team leading the charge in robotics automation technology for vertical farms, and we're on the lookout for a talented Full-Stack Developer to take the reins of our ‘Seasony OS’ and expand our suite of digital services - starting as soon as possible.

About Seasony:

We're not just any robotics start-up. At Seasony, we're pioneering the future of indoor farming - making it more profitable, scalable, and sustainable. Our flagship product, the autonomous mobile robot "Watney," is the first of its kind for vertical farms and aims to change the paradigm for automation on vertical farms. We are based in Copenhagen, with customers and partners across the globe.

Here's where you come in:

As our Full-Stack Developer, you'll be the driving force behind our 'Seasony OS', playing a critical role in the growth of our digital data services, from climate monitoring to computer vision systems. We're looking for someone who's passionate about backend development and the work to interface with both our customers' systems and our robotics software. Don't worry if you haven't dabbled in robotics before; we're more interested in your coding skills and your eagerness to learn.

Working directly with our co-founder, Servet Coskun, and our Head of Strategy, Dan Nielsen, you'll have a clear roadmap and UX/UI guidance to build the best product possible. There is already a version 1 of our OS in place and a roadmap of initiatives to get started on.

What You'll Do:

  • Dive into the development, testing, and upkeep of 'Seasony OS', focusing on robustness and user-friendliness.

  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic, based on pre-existing designs and guidance.

  • Lead back-end development, including integration with our customers' and partners' systems.

  • Design and maintain efficient database architectures.

  • Implement and manage DevOps practices, like CI/CD pipelines.

  • Helping shape our platform by exploring and using good infrastructure, scalability and security practices.

  • Collaborate with our robotics team to build integrations and data flows.

  • Supervise interns and manage external freelancers when needed.

  • Manage your own projects, making decisions and collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • At least a couple of years experience as a full-stack developer, with a portfolio in back-end technologies.

  • Strong full-stack development experience, with a focus on back-end technologies.

  • Solid skills in database design and management.

  • Knowledgeable in DevOps practices and tools.

  • Great at communication and teamwork.

  • Interest in robotics technology like ROS 2 is a bonus.

  • Experience in data visualization and analytics? That's a plus too!

Toolbox:

We primarily use ASP.NET Core, C#, Azure, SQL database, Timescale, and embrace clean architecture principles like CQRS, DDD, and TDD. On the front-end, we work with TypeScript, JavaScript, SASS, React/Vue.js, and Vercel.

We are open to exploring alternative technologies based on your expertise.

What We Offer:

  • Be part of an exciting Ag-tech robotics startup in the emerging industry of vertical farming.

  • Involve yourself in the full product cycle, from the drawing board to real-world application.

  • Build real, tangible products that make a difference.

  • Embrace quick, test-driven development cycles.

  • Get travel opportunities to global locations.

  • Take on responsibilities from day one and make impactful decisions on software architecture and design.

  • A collaborative and flexible workspace.

  • Your new office? It's in Copenhagen's Trifolium innovation hub – with hybrid working options available.

So, are you ready to help us grow the future of food? We can't wait to meet you! Join us at Seasony and be a part of something truly special.

Please note that we review candidates as they apply, so send in your application as soon as possible.

Seasony

Seasony enables vertical farms to be profitable, scalable, and efficient. Since the company’s start in 2018, the cornerstone of our mission has been sustainability. We realized that in order for the world to embrace sustainable food practices, they need to be made profitable. For this reason, Seasony will provide low investment and intelligent automation solutions that will enable vertical farming as an established industry and therefore revolutionize future food production into a greener, healthier, and more localized direction. Our robot Watney™ is able to handle all the logistics in vertical farms and allows for more automation in the main growing process by gathering data and providing actionable information. It enables vertical farms to automate a large share of their activities, reducing labor costs by up to ~20-30%, and provides a platform for yield improvement as it automatically collects data, enabling precision farming. Seasony’s truly international and young team has experienced a constant growth trajectory as our product approaches a larger production phase, so we are in a regular position to recruit new team members, whether employees or interns. Our work culture is built on the spirit of encouraging new initiatives, openness, and a relaxed atmosphere. Team members are encouraged to take on responsibility, ownership of their own projects, and given the freedom to pursue new ideas, meaning we have high regard for people who share these ideals. We love expanding our network so feel free to reach out to us on our social media channels.
