Sustainable food start up in Nordhavn ready to start commercial scaling
MATR Foods is a 2 year old start up on a mission to radically change the environmental impact of how we eat. We develop cutting edge microbial solutions that allow us to transform local organic ingredients into delicious and nutritious food that is better for humans and planet. We have launched our first line of products in branded partnerships with Gasoline Grill and Sticks n’ Sushi as well as in canteens and restaurants. We are now looking to start our production and commercial scaling and build a solid strategy for international expansion.
The Role:
Kitchen Porter - Reporting directly to the Production Manager of MATR Foods.
To support our mission we are looking for a part time kitchen porter for 20-25 hours per week. The role will entail about 75% work as a kitchen porter, making sure that all dishes and production equipment gets cleaned, and 25% production assistant, where you will be hands on in the production helping the team produce the quantities needed.
You have:
Attention to detail and willing to work alongside others.
Experience from working in a fast-paced production environment.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Cleaning of containers and dishes from food production.
Keep the kitchen and work area in a clean and sanitary condition, following food safety guidelines.
Assist with the receiving and preparation of ingredients, including peeling, chopping, cutting, and grating ingredients as needed.
Use various kitchen tools such as knives, peelers, mallets, and ovens/hobs to prepare products.
Assist with washing utensils, and cleaning surfaces, floors, etc.
Ensure leftover food is properly stored and dated in the correct area.
Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.
