We are currently looking for our next Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the Development/Engineering team. You will be reporting to Nick Wassenberg, Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with other leaders across the organization. This role will sit in our Copenhagen office with the option to work a hybrid schedule.

The Role

As Chief Technology Officer, you will work alongside the leadership team to create and execute the technology vision for Cludo. This will mean exceptional hiring, coaching, and active management of the team, as well as crafting a clear strategy for how the business leverages technology to help drive customer and enterprise value. You will have autonomy and will be expected to deliver a highly performant, feature-rich product aligned with the roadmap of the Chief Product Officer, while aligning resources and infrastructure for future growth. You will make decisions to improve the current and future state of Cludo. You will be a critical leader in defining our path forward.

What you will do

• Planning and execution of our roadmap that is a key driver for delivering on our product and growth strategy 

• Lead our team of developers and make sure that you as a team make the right priorities and architecture decisions 

• Make sure that we hire profiles with the right skillset in our development team when we grow the development team 

• Build a strong culture where it is a team effort to find the best architecture solutions and where everyone takes pride in building the best possible product 

• Work closely with our Product Team and C-level to find out how the technical foundation helps Cludo delivering on our vision for the product experience, design and commercial roadmap. 

• Experimentation and proof-of-concept development 

• Cloud technologies 

• Guiding, coaching and mentoring other developers. 

• Assist in sales and partner meetings when needed 

• Maintaining, enhancing, and refining existing systems and features  

• Responsible for technologies that grow the business and maintain our competitive advantage  

• Staying up to date with tech trends to ensure we remain competitive, efficient, and scalable 

What we would love to see from you

• Fluency in spoken/written English 

• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to do the best work of your career building Cludo  

• You have team management experience, with bonus points for internationally distributed teams 

• You like to architect and build good Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms  

• You know how to remove developer obstacles through well-implemented DevOps practices.  

• You naturally translate complex technology into business value  

• You possess in-depth technical insight and the ability to discuss tech at all levels  

• You make complex features seem easy  

• You possess the ability to convey technical topics to your non-technical peers  

• You have experience leading teams and developers naturally follow you
