Product Manager – Compliance
Make your impact and be part of shaping the future for SameSystem.
SameSystem is a Danish SaaS Scale-Up company. We provide the leading Workforce Management Solution for the retail and hospitality industries in Europe. With advanced forecasting based on AI, compliancy features that assist with local labour laws, and a comprehensive set of tools that make it easier to plan and manage people, large companies such as Bestseller, Pandora, and Intersport use our solution every day to optimise their businesses.
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Product Manager to join our Product Team. In this role you’ll lead a cross-functional team in ideation, development, and launch of new features and products.
The Product Manager Role
As Product Manager for “Compliance” you will be responsible for a strategic important domain at SameSystem, driving a unique selling point for our product and creating features that make a genuine impact on our customers' business and their employees.
Your objective is to take complex legislation around workforce management and transform it into streamlined and value-orientated systems that elegantly solve problems behind the scenes and – when needed – offer the end users intuitive experiences that help them overcome their challenges.
SameSystem helps some of the most acclaimed retail and food-service companies expand throughout Europe, and this is only possible with an industry-leading approach to compliance in these industries. It will be your responsibility to establish the framework to retrieve, interpret, and implement the various compliance requirements across Europe – and you’ll have significant freedom to shape the team to achieve this.
Our Product Team adheres to an agile mindset, empowering team members to make their own decisions and try new things. We think big and are not afraid to do things different than our competitors – both when it comes to how we work and the product we build.
As a Product Manager you work together with frontenders, backenders, and product designers. The Product Owner responsibilities falls upon the Product Manager, and while it’s your responsibility to apply and implement best practices in your team, it often turns into a shared effort, as you’re surrounded by experienced and motivated team members.
You will explore both the problem and solution space and identify the best way to deliver value to our customers based on the strategic direction. With experience and demonstrated outcome delivery, you can expect increased ownership and the freedom to identify new business opportunities and leveraging market research to guide product development.
What we are looking for
You don’t need a legal background, as legal resources will be available to you, but you must possess a natural curiosity for the subject matter, so you can build up an intuitive understanding of the space that allows you to have thorough conversations with stakeholders and customers, driving meetings and interviews into tangible outputs.
You have a great technical understanding that enables you to communicate well with developers and partake in discussions on how to solve complex problems – especially with scalability in mind.
You set high expectations of yourself and your work, but also recognise that things can move fast, and sometimes you need to compromise to meet short deadlines. You’re able to multitask and keep structure, identifying quick wins and long-term opportunities and prioritising accordingly.
In the ideas you push forward, you understand how it adds value – both when it comes to pure user experience, but also when it comes to enhancing SameSystems unique selling points.
