Hococo is growing rapidly, so we’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer, who can join our vision of becoming the leading tenant relationship platform and bringing customer-centricity into the long term rental industry. We are looking to expand our team with a talented developer to help build a great product for many years to come.

Hococo offers a B2B SaaS platform that helps landlords improve communication and service in the real estate space making it attractive to focus on the residential end-user. We believe we can improve people's lives through the way they live by enabling perfect tenant experiences and by improving the landlords work processes - all by using groundbreaking technology.

You will join us as an integral part of our start-up and you will be given plenty of opportunity to shape the business, create a fantastic product and be in constant development. We expect that you are driven, ambitious and eager to innovate, learn and try out new technology driving new features from start to finish. On the other hand, we expect that you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty by for example writing specifications, doing code review, testing and fixing bugs when they surface. There are plenty of opportunities to grow along with the company and help define your own role.


Role

As a core member of our Tech team you should expect to:

  • Engage in hands-on development of new features for our platform in the Frontend, but with enough insight into how the Backend operates that you can easily communicate and work with our Full-Stack developers.

  • Develop across both our browser-based platform and our apps.

  • Assist with deployments, releases and monitoring of our cloud-based setup.

  • Help troubleshoot issues as well as writing automated tests for the Frontend and fixing bugs.

  • Conceptualize technical solutions and architecture together with the rest of the Tech Team.

  • Take the lead on the Frontend development and its direction together with our Frontend Architect, focusing on best practices.

  • Participate in the innovation process through design sprints as well as proposing new ideas, features and functionalities to our platform.

  • Understand technical and functional design requirements from our clients, and help determine scope and sizing of new projects.

  • Collaborate closely with our Product Design team to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX elements.

  • Translate pixel-perfect designs, provided in Figma, into responsive and interactive user interfaces for both desktop and mobile applications.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance our front-end capabilities.

  • Pay meticulous attention to detail, with an eagle eye for every small nuance in the design.

  • Support your colleagues with technical know-how, rubber ducking and good spirits!


Skills

  • You have at least 5 years of experience with Frontend development.

  • You have previous experience working with Frontend for mobile applications (experience with native app development is also a huge plus!).

  • You have extensive experience with JavaScript and Frontend frameworks (Vue.js is a huge plus!).

  • You have some experience working with (or integrating with) backend development (PHP/Laravel is a huge plus!).

  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and you are an analytical thinker.

  • You enjoy working closely with other developers and you have a positive attitude and good team-spirit.

  • Good social and communication skills are a huge plus!
